EMSCULPT review PT. 1
If you guys have been following my instagram stories then you know about a week ago I started a four part procedure called EMSCULPT at a local medical spa called Beauty Rewind.
If you didn’t catch it on my instagram let me break it down for you:
Emsculpt is an procedure to help both women and men build muscle and burn fat. In addition, Emsculpt creates the world’s first non-invasive buttock lifting procedure.
The non-invasive HIFEM® (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic)technology induces supramaximal muscle contractions not achievable through voluntary contractions. When exposed to supramaximal contractions, the muscle tissue is forced to adapt to such extreme condition. It responds with a deep remodelling of its inner the structure that results in muscle building and burning fat.
It is a four part procedure, each session lasting 30 minutes. The sessions are required to be 2-3 days apart from each other, so you’re finished your treatment after 2 weeks and your full results will become apparent after 6-8 weeks.
My first session with EMSCULPT also happened to be my first time at Beauty Rewind as well. The studio itself is beautiful and the staff were all very kind and knowledgeable about the procedures offered, which always eases my mind. Even if EMSCULPT itself is non-invasive it’s always nice to know the person performing something on your body knows what they are doing.
The procedure itself did not hurt at all. It starts off at a low setting (around 20%) and kind of just felt like I had very intense butterflies in my tummy. Eventually it was turned up to 100% which is much more intense, but still not painful at all. I could feel the machine working muscles I didn’t even know I had, and I could even see it working as my tummy would tightly flex and my legs would jolt up. I was able to lay down for the whole 30 minutes and watch Netflix without feeling any sort of discomfort really. Obviously every person experiences things differently but for me, the pain level was MAYBE a 1/10 (if that).
The nice part about this procedure is there is absolutely no recovery time after. Considering each session mimics doing 20,000 sits ups, you would expect to be incredibly sore following your appointment. However aside from feeling like I did a very small tummy workout the following day I was totally fine.
All in all if you are basically at your ideal weight and only have a small bit of pinchable fat on your tummy that you just can’t seem to get toned, I’d highly recommend getting this procedure done.
Stay tuned for part 2 of this review, so I can show you some before and afters, as well as give you my final impressions.
